I'm Jeremy,
A bicycle mechanic turned university student, studying a Bachelor of Industrial Design. After working in the bicycle industry for 15 years, in all types of shops from small independently-owned businesses to the largest brands in the world, I have seen and experienced all sides of the industry.
My journey to becoming an Industrial Designer has been very non-linear but it has set me up to be very successful in the future. In the field of industrial design, a blend of creative, technical and practical skills are essential for success. These include soft skills such as problem solving, communication, empathy and emotional intelligence. Over my career as a Bicycle Mechanic I have developed these soft skills which have dramatically increased my employability and my overall performance as a team member.
